Lake of the Isles Pencil Day is set for Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 1 to 2:30 pm at the Lake of the Isles Pencil, the public sculpture at 2217 Lake of the Isles Parkway East, Minneapolis, MN 55405.

The Pencil is treated as a "living" installation: each June it is sharpened in public with fanfare, and this year's gathering marks the fifth annual sharpening. The sharpening events showcase community figures, artists and innovators, and over the years the sculpture changes and evolves, just as a student's pencil shrinks over a school year.
