Bryn Mawr's Sip and Stroll returned Oct. 9, 2025, sending residents on a free evening walking circuit of 13 neighborhood businesses, from Big Hill Books to La Mesa.

The Bryn Mawr Neighborhood Association's annual Sip and Stroll ran from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, a free evening event that sends residents on foot from shop to shop through the neighborhood's commercial core along Penn Avenue near Wayzata Boulevard.
Participants checked in at Big Hill Books, picked up a checklist of the 13 participating businesses, then visited each for a snack or drink. The 2025 lineup ran from restaurants and shops to service businesses: La Mesa, Bobby and Steve's, NATIV3, Bryn Mawr Pizza and Deli, CLEAR Holistic Therapies, Sundog Tattoo, Mill City Dental, Studio 411/Harpers, Greenhouse Salon and Shop, Cuppa Java, Bryn Mawr Chiropractor, Spruce, Big Hill Books and The Crafted Canine Spa. Local merchants donated prizes for a drawing.
The walking format fits a district built for it, a cluster of independent storefronts most residents can reach without a car. For merchants, the night doubles as a thank-you to longtime customers and an introduction to newer residents who may not know what sits within walking distance. The association makes the same case year-round: a small business district does not sustain itself on goodwill alone, and a neighborhood that wants to keep its shops has to patronize them beyond a single October evening.
The association can be reached at 2915 Wayzata Blvd., Minneapolis, MN 55405, or at
